The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday April 4, 2009, of Wilfred J. Perry, Tignish, aged 67 years. Beloved common-law husband of Theresa Carr. He was born in St. Edward on April 8, 1941, the son of the late Eddie and Emeline Perry. Cherished father to Johnny (Paulette), North Winsloe, and Joni (Matthew) Leard, Mill River East. Step-father of Lisa (Johnny) Clow, Charlottetown; Laura Lee (Rodney) LeClair, Tignish; Richard Carr, Tignish; and Ralph Carr, Elmsdale. Loving grandfather to Devon and Kelsey Perry; Brett, Emma and Ryan Leard; Joshua, Jordan and Jessie LeClair. Dear brother to Raymond (Thelma) Perry, St. Edward; Johnny (Betty) Perry, French River; Herbert (Dorothy) Perry, St. Edward; Eva Allain, St. Raphael; and Thelma (Isodore) Bernard, St. Edward. He was predeceased by his parents Eddie and Emeline, brother George, sister-in-law Olive and brother-in-law Elmer Allain. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, with no visiting hours as a personal request. Funeral will be held Monday at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to the Tignish Fire Department would be greatly appreciated.
