WASSON, EVELYN M. – 87, of Two Islands, Cumberland County passed away Monday, April 6, 2009 at Victoria Manor, Amherst. Born in New Canaan, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Evelyn (Tyrell) Skidmore. She was a school teacher for many years having taught in Canaan, Greenhill, Advocate and Maccan. She is survived by a daughter, Dale McCulley (Gary), Two Islands; a son, Keith, Minto, NB; a sister, Vera Rousseau, Smithfield, Rhode Island; a brother, Vincent Skidmore, Maple Ridge, BC; 6 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Murdock; a son, John in infancy; brothers, Austin, Ivan and a brother in infancy. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday [April 10, 2009], President William Smith of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints officiating.
