Elizabeth Ann 'Liddy' McNamara, a former resident of Reserve Mines died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Reserve Mines, she was a daughter of the late Michael Norman and Marie (MacNeil) MacLean.
Liddy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She valued her family and dedicated her energy to their enjoyment.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; children, Joseph (Ashley), George, James (Amy), and Angela; siblings, Johnny (Cathy), Mary (Tommy), Michael (Norma), George (Mary), David (Angela), Keith, Cecil, Deborah (James), Louise (Bernard), Barbara (Shaun) and Nadine; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Joseph.
Visitation will be held Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. The Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Fr. Leo Boone officiating.
