Thelma Bernice Vidito, 83, Tatamagouche and formerly of Truro, passed away April 9, 2009 in Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche.
Born in Aylesford, she was a daughter of the late Morley and Hettie (Parker) Nichols. She worked as a social worker in the Truro area for 20 years. She attended the First United Church and was a member of the UCW.
Thelma was a wonderful mother, friend and she was a leader in all she did. She is survived by daughter, Elizabeth (Graham) Burrows, Truro; sons, Gregory, Lower Sackville, Brian, P.E.I.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Jeannette Herbert, Frances LaVaughan "Bunny" Small, both of Aylesford. She was predeceased by her husband, Reagh Vidito.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro with a graveside service on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Aylesford Union Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
