The death of Halsey Ernest Hamilton husband of Iva (Parks) Hamilton of Lyttleton, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the age of 78. Born in Lyttleton, NB, Halsey was the son of the late Ernest & Susan (Travis) Hamilton. Halsey attended the Lyttleton Pentecostal Church, was a retired carpenter from Repap Pulp & Paper and attended a special prayer group at St. Mary's Anglican Church on Friday mornings. Besides his wife Iva, Halsey is survived by: one daughter: Karen Dunnett (Doug) of Bathurst, NB; two sons: Robert (Irene) of Halcomb, NB and Peter (Robin) of Lyttleton, NB; one sister: Margaret Williams (John) of Moncton, NB; four brothers: John (Masie), Danny (Joyce) all Halcomb, NB; Benny (Ruby) of Upper Derby, NB and David (Rena) Bathe, ON; five grandchildren: Jason, Esther, Tyler, Tiffany and Travis and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Halsey is predeceased by: one brother: Ralph.
The family received visitors at the Lyttleton Pentecostal Church, Lyttleton on Saturday
from 7 to 9 PM and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service was held on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 2 PM from the Lyttleton Pentecostal Church with Pastor Vaden Sutherland officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Stephen's Presbyterian Cemetery later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Miramichi Regional Hospital Extra Mural Program or to a memorial of one's choice.
