On Saturday, April 11, 2009, God called His special servant Tim home to be with him. Tim passed away at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Bay St. Lawrence, January 30, 1915, he was the son of the late Patrick (Pat) and Mary Evelyn (Lina) (Capstick) LaRusic.
He spent his life as a carpenter, working at Canadian Gypsum, Dingwall and upon closure, moved his family to Sydney where his last years, until his retirement, were spent at Co-op Building Supplies Ltd. After his retirement, he spent many hours in his workshop, whiling away his time making many crafts, the fruits of his labor, which we all have a part of today.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and a Third Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Council 1060, Sydney.
He is survived by his family, daughters Marie Allday (Robert), Pauline Graham, Joyce Evans; sons Sid (Jane), Greg (Mary Jane), Edward (Selina), William (Edith), Douglas (Darlene) and Lorne along with a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers, Anthony (Tony), Jim, Ignatius, Joe and sisters Sr. Patrice, Josie, Theresa and Evelyn.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Edna (Joyce); an infant son Francis; brother Emery; sisters Ann, Rita, Mary and one grandson Richard.
Visitation for Mr. LaRusic will take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Anthony O'Connor officiating.
Memorial donations can be made to the C.B. Palliative Care Society or a charity of choice.
