It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on Monday, April 13, 2009 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, of our Mom, Anne Fredia Lynn MacDougall, of Truro. Born in Elmsvale in 1930 she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Jessie (MacKinnon) Murray. Anne was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Anne spent many years living and working in Edmonton Alberta. When not working at Dickenfield Extended Care she would be found with her husband Sandy in their motor home, enjoying family, camping, and the mountains. Surviving are her children: daughters, Valerie (Reg) Conrod, New Glasgow, Hazel (Terry) Mace, Edmonton, Alberta; sons, Alexander (Vicki), Hamilton. Ont., Daniel (Susan), Truro, Ross (Kelley), Chillwack, B.C., Wayne, Edmonton, Alberta; grandchildren, David (Tasha), Truro, Dwayne (Leanne), Toronto, Terry (Lynn), Tracy (Chris), Natashia, all of Edmonton, Alberta, JoAnn (Mike), Stewiacke, Daniel (Nancy), Princeport, Barbara (Mark), Debert, Tammy (Corey), Jim (Tasha), both of Edmonton, Alberta, Danny, Toronto, James (Ashley), Tristan (Stephanie), both of Chilliwack, B.C. Anne is also survived by 19 great grandchildren who were her special angels as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend of 45 years Alexander (Sandy) Lloyd MacDougall; brothers David, Raymond and Stanley Murray; sisters, Louise Murray, Virginia Van Vliet. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro where funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 pm with Rev. Lori Ramsey officiating. Cremation to follow. Burial will be in St. Andrews Cemetery, Gairlock, Pictou County at a later date. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory can be made to the Diabetes Association of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society, the Palliative Care Unit of Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, or a charity of your choice.
