Cook, Chester Lewis – 75, Economy, passed away April 11, 2009 at the QEII, Halifax. Born at The Falls, he was a son of the late Lewis and Elsie Cook. Chester was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, joining in 1954. A member of 3rd RCHA Artillery, he later received his wings as a paratrooper. He was very proud of his 38 years of sobriety with AA. Chester is survived by his wife, Doreen (VanBuskirk); daughters, Debbie (Danny) Beaulieu, Darlene (Dennis) MacLean, both of Red Deer, Alberta; grandchildren, Travis MacLean and Erin Beaulieu; step-sons, Tony (Marie Redmond) Hingley, Beaverbrook, Timothy (Andrea) Hingley, Lornvale; step-grandchildren, Trinida, Delpheane, Immanuel, Rayevan and Merrick Hingley; brothers, Raymond (Peg), Charles (Rita), Lawson (Sharon), Foster (Helen), James (Blanche), Kenneth (Karen); sisters, Gladys (Rod) Fraser, Myrtle Ryalls; several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his first wife, Earla (Cunningham); son, Bobby; grandson, Jordan Beaulieu; sister, Isabel Loughead. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside committal service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia.
