Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, Nellie M. Noel of Harbour Grace South, age 99 years. Predeceased by 1st husband Herbert Hounsell, 2nd husband Nathaniel Noel; son-in-law Robert, grandson Jeffrey, great-granddaughter Thais, brothers Graham and William, sisters Muriel and Hazel. Leaving to mourn three daughters: Hazel Hounsell-Roy, Sudbury, On, Lillian (Ian) Cooper, Harbour Grace South and Thelma (Lloyd) Newman, Harbour Grace; one son: William (Viola), Harbour Grace South; two step-daughters: Maud Peddle, Harbour Grace South and Annie (Albert) Peddle, Harbour Grace; one step-son Albert (Amy) Noel, Grand Falls-Windsor; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Hettie Gill, St. Luke's Home, St. John's; dear friend Mary Babb, Bryant's Cove, also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Funeral service to take place on Friday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Peter's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace South.
