Spark, Ramsay David (Sparky)
Passed away at his home on Sunday, April 19, 2009 after a brief illness. Sparky, at the age of 71, beloved husband of Linda for over 45 years. Loving father of Tom (Fran) and Roberta Wohlgemuth (Darin). Cherished grandfather of Amy Walz (Mitch), Cierra Spark and Darin Wohlgemuth. He will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Flossie Dunbar, his brothers Bob Spark and Ken Spark, his sisters Ethel Forbister (Les) and Eileen Barrie (Bob), by his sister-in-law May Spark and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Donald, nephew Jeff Gaudreau, and his father-in-law Tom Dunbar. Sparky was born on the family farm North of Courval, SK to Arthur and Amy Spark on July 6, 1937. He went to Eastleigh School until the family moved to Mortlach where he went to High school. He met Linda during a family wedding and the couple were married in Moose Jaw on November 9, 1963, where they began their family. He worked at various jobs in the area over the years. He worked for several years repairing shoes at Model Shoe Repair, but mostly loved working with his hands and with wood, crafting many family furnishings. He loved music and could often be found playing his guitar in a dance band on weekends. He was a faithful member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 20 years. He loved his family, and will be missed for his sense of humour. At Sparky’s request, there will be no formal funeral service. Friends are invited for a time of fellowship at the Fraternal Order of Eagles on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. Memorial donations to the Fraternal Order of Eagles would be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel.
