The death occurred peacefully at the South Shore Villa, Crapaud, on Saturday, April 18, 2009, of Stella Mary Warren (nee MacDonald), formerly of Summerside, aged 81 years. Stella was born on March 24, 1928, in Grand River, P.E.I., to her late parents, John and Margaret (nee Bulger) MacDonald. Beloved wife of the late Russell Warren and loving mother of Brenda (Otis) Perry of Summerside, Gail Warren of Summerside, Calvin (Joanne) of Leduc, Alta., Barb (Dan) of Summerside, Glenda Boswell of Ont., Farren (Darlene ) of Summerside, and Thane (Linda) of London, Ont. Also lovingly remembered by her nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers, Vernon MacDonald of Summerside and Ed (Reta) MacDonald of Cardinal, Ont. Besides her husband and her parents, Stella was predeceased by her brothers, Austin, Herb, Byron and Jack MacDonald, and her sisters, Lila Pineau and Eileen Typher. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Wednesday, April 22, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Stella’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
