Aulac, N.B. - John William Maxwell Jr., of Aulac, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the Moncton City Hospital. John was an accomplished blacksmith, operating Etter Ridge Forge for 30 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hiking and wildlife. John was an alumni of Mount Allison University. John is survived by his wife of 27 years, Susan (Lister) Maxwell; daughters, Laura (Craig) and Sarah (Mike); granddaughters, Maria and Evedene; his parents John and Lois Maxwell Sr.; paternal grandmother Margaret Scott; brothers, Jimmy and Brian (Missy); sisters, Heather (Alan), Katherine
(David) and Gayle (Randy); father and mother-in-law DeWitt and Ann Lister; several brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation has taken place under the care and supervision on Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). A memorial service was held by John¹s family on Saturday, April 18, 2009.
