Phinney, Ross (Jim)
1925-2009
Ross (Jim) Phinney, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 on the Veteran¹s Wing of High Crest Nursing Home, in Springhill, N.S. Jim was the son of the Late Ross and Jemima (Campbell) Phinney. Jim was a veteran of the Second World War and was employed with CNR for close to 33 years. After retiring from CNR, he was employed with the Drew Nursing Home for fourteen years. Previously, he was a member of the Masons. He is survived by one son, Robert (Gwen); four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Otis (Edna), Sackville. Jim was predeceased by his wife Verta (Dolly) in 2007 and son Frank in 1999. Arrangements are entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, Sackville, N.B. Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visiting hours or service by request. Burial in the Midgic Cemetery at a later date. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
