Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, Theresa Mary Bursey (nee Furlong), age 83 years, in the presence of her family. Leaving to mourn with treasured memories, loving husband Calvin “Ladd”; devoted daughter Wendy; caring sons: John, St. John’s, Doug (Debbie), St. John’s, Jeff (Beth Janzen), Charlottetown, PEI; cherished granddaughters: Lisa (Gurbir Samagh), Ottawa, ON, Ashley, Fredericton, NB, Jessica, Arizona and Andrea, St. John’s; sisters: Angela (Edward) Martin, St. John’s, Louise (Kevin) Walsh, Stephenville; sister-in-law Joan Marshall; brother-in-law Edwin Press, Topsail Pond. Also leaving to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, and a large circle of friends, including her dialysis “family” at the Waterford Hospital Dialysis Unit. Cremation has taken place. Visitation to be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday and then from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at a later date.
