He was surrounded by his family, that loved him until the end. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betty) Brown for 60 years, cherished father of Lois Giles (John), Alex (Shelley), Cindy Patton (Dale), Randy (Jane), Jeff (Deanna), David (Stephanie), Betty Ann Rhea (Tony), Lisa (Paul). Precious "Poppie" of Jennifer Shephard (Don), Jason Giles (Tracy), Robyn Raue (Zane), Shawn Ward (Amy), Charlene Hammond (Sean), Stacey Armstrong (Jeff), Lauren, Alex, Justin, Christopher, Jamie, Christina, Jake, Bradley, Jordanna, Alexa, Corey, David Jr., Holly, Mattea and Jessie. Dear Great Poppie of Chad, Delaney, Madilynn, Reese, Brock, Lyla, Patrick, Benjamin, Adyline, Rachel, Audrey, Bennett, Noelle and Andrew; also sadly missed by his sisters Maude Thorne of Norman's Cove, Newfoundland and Ann Melber of Syracuse, New York as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Winnifred Keating and Lillian Gilbert.
