It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brittany Francis on April 17, 2009.
Born February 9, 1987, Houlton, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Murphy and Ralph Smith; adopted parents, Virick and Catherine Francis, Eskasoni.
Brittany was very out going, hard working and sociable. She enjoyed music, skating, dancing, being outdoors and most of all she was a very great friend. Brittany lived life to the fullest and was loved by many.
Brittany is survived by her son, Ricky Jr. Francis, Stanford, Maine; sisters, Carrie Ann, Boston, Michelle, and nephew Zaire, Eskasoni, Mariah, Nevaeh, both of Maine, Sayyedya, Ottawa, Viricka and nephew Jace, (Randall) Halifax; brothers Steve, James, Ryan, all of Boston, Virick Jr., Eskasoni.
She is also survived by maternal grandfather, Winthrop ‘Pappy’ Murphy; grandmother Dorothy ‘Dotty’, Maine; paternal grandparents, Alexander and Mary Julia Francis, Eskasoni; godparents, Kelvin and Elena Cabot, Eskasoni, as well as several aunts, and uncles.
Visitation will begin on Sunday April 26, 2009 after 7:00 p.m. at the Gabriel Centre, Eskasoni.
Funeral mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday April 28, 2009 at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni with Father Joe Gillis officiating.
