LUNDRIGAN, Walter John – Wally has shipped out. After ten years ashore he got the call on Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 while in the Palliative Care Unit at the Leonard A. Miller Centre. Wally was 65 years old but it was the mileage and not the years that got him in the end. He was met onboard by his parents Woodley and Bride and his siblings Joe, Vince, James, Paddy and Kathleen. He leaves on land his wife Anita (Druken) of 40 years, his sons Rodney and Wayne and their wives Nora (Daly) and Sherri (Driscoll), his daughter Sharon and her husband Dennis (Benson), and his two cherished deckhands, granddaughters Abby and Becky. Also left ashore are his brothers: Morgan (Jeanette), Larry (Janet), Michael, and sisters: Margie (Alec), Annie (Michael) and Beatrice (Bob), as well as a flotilla of nieces and nephews. He will also be sorely missed by his favorite sisters-in-law: Regina, AnneMarie, Margie and Alice, as well as his best mate Paddy and his feline friends Cozy and Phanty. There will be a gathering at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday, April 26th from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Caul’s Chapel, LeMarchant Road on Monday, April 27th at 2 p.m.. Following the service his ashes will be dispersed at sea. Flowers are not welcome unless they’re “special†flowers. In lieu of dying horticulture, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated.
