MURPHY, Brenda Clare – (July 30, 1947 - April 23, 2009). Our “little sister” Brenda, the most thoughtful and generous of all of us, lost a brief and hard-fought battle with cancer, and died Thursday. Deeply saddened by this sudden loss are we, her siblings: Joan, Frank (wife Jean), Chris (wife Patricia), Mary (husband Philip), Patricia (husband Robert), Roselyn (wife of Bud - predeceased). Other family members also saddened by Brenda’s death, are nieces and nephews: Angela, Madonna, Cynthia, Gerard, Marie, Sean, Matthew, Jillian, Dana, Krista, Aunt Clara and Uncle Ken White in Sidney, BC; Aunt Margaret (Peg) Barry in Port Coquitlam, BC; Aunt Muriel Forristall in Burlington, ON; several great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins. Brenda also leaves behind a very large number of treasured friends, who will remember her many gestures of kindness, and the smiles and laughter she brought to their lives. Visitation will be held at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Friday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 27, at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Cremation to follow with inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit or to Daffodil Place.
