Born in Fortune Cove on July 20, 1939, son of the late Joseph and Melvina Gallant. Father of Darlene Gallant (Mike Leblanc), Cornwall; Sharon Gallant (Brian Livingston), Clyde River; Darren (Sherri), Hamilton, ON; Chris (Michelle), Cornwall. Stepfather of Leigh MacLean, Sussex, N.B.; Shelton (Vivian) MacLean, Summerside; Harold MacLean, Summerside; Terry (Cathy) MacLean, Dartmouth, N.S.; Jimmy (Doreen) MacLean, Colehurst, AB. Grandfather of five grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren. Half brother of Ray (Delma) Botts, O’Leary. Predeceased by a sister Noreen and half- brother Leo. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, until Tuesday at 10 a.m. then to St. Anthony’s Church, Woodstock, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the parish cemetery.
