Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on Saturday April 25, 2009 after a lengthy illness, Gwendolyn Mary Bernadette Harvey, formerly of Portugal Cove at age 55 years. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Gwendolyn Harvey; sisters Helen, Anne, Rose and Theresa; brothers Michael, Joseph and Gordon. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 23 years Guy Randell of St. John’s; daughters: Tammy (Derrick) Byrne of Toronto and Tracey (Tony) Strickland of Blackfalds, Alta.; brothers: Donald of Portugal Cove and David of Toronto; special friend Denise Hibbs of Portugal Cove; also a large circle of nephews, nieces and friends. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral mass will take place on Tuesday April 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. from Holy Rosary Church, Portugal Cove.
