Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, Florence Lush of Marysvale in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband William (August 10, 2007), son Kevin (August 22, 1947), parents James and Mary Ann (nee Ryan) Gushue, brothers Walter, Tom, Bill, James and Raymond; sisters Frances, Elizabeth, Anna, Bride, Josephine and Catherine. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories three sons James (Helena), William (Bertha), Wayne; six daughters Rita Connolly (Aiden), Doreen Stone (Kevin), Geraldine (Lew Higdon), Georgina Somerton (Mike), Brenda, Mary (Reg); daughter-in-law Marlene; sister Lucy Bartlett, Sydney, Nova Scotia; sister-in-law Elizabeth Evans, Mount Pearl and Mary Lush, St. John's; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; also a large circle of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Thursday, September 18, 2008 from 7 to 10 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Funeral to take place on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 12 Noon from Our Lady of Snows Church, Marysvale with interment to follow in the R.C.
