Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Center on Monday, April 27, 2009, Charles Anstey, aged 83 years. Predeceased by parents Charles and Jemima; sister Lillian; brothers: Ralph, Bromwell and Winston; brothers-in-law: Keith Howse and Morgan Simmons; sister-in-law Hattie Howse; great-grandsons: Darryl and Michael Janes. Leaving to mourn are wife Annie (nee Simmons); children Linda (Walter), Bruce (Rose-Ann Evans), Pamela (Roy) and Ramona (Scott); sisters: Daisy Elliott and Maxine Fudge and their families; nine grandchildren and their spouses; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law: Max and Melvina Simmons, Bruce and Pearl Simmons, Lily and Fletcher Peach, Vernon and Olive Simmons and Eleanor Simmons and their families; special friends: Bob Simmons, Alex Furlong and their families, as well as a large circle of extended relatives and friends. At Charles’ request a cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Wesley United Church on May 9, 2009 at 2 p.m. Funeral arrangements by Barrett’s Funeral Home.
