(June 27, 1918 - April 25, 2009)— Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Saturday, April 25, 2009, Ferdinand Earle in his 91st year (A long-time employee of the Newfoundland Margarine Co.). Predeceased by his loving wife: Violet (Oct. 2007); infant son: Jackie (1941) and son: David (2000); parents: John and Maryann; sisters: Lilly, Florence and Annie; brothers: George and Bernard; son-in-law: James Williams (2005). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters: Sandra Squires (Cal), Una Douthett (Harry) of Florida, Margaret Fowler (Kelvin), Barbara, Linda Bowering (Ray), Olga Barnes (Linton), Paula Ennis (Paul), and Pamela Vokey (Paul) of Lewisporte; daughter-in-law: Barbara Earle of Corner Brook; brother-in-law: Albert Slade of Toronto; 23 loving grandchildren; 15 precious great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday, April 27th and Tuesday, April 28th from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, St. Clare Ave. on Wednesday, April 29th, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ferdinand’s memory to St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
