It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hannah F. Loveridge announces her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in her 96th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Jean Matthews (Byron) of Corner Brook, Shirley Dyke of Steady Brook and Gilbert Smart (Marilyn) of Steady Brook; sisters: Eleanor Baird (Elmo) of St. John’s and Evangeline King of St. John’s; sister-in-law, Joyce Gillette of Toronto; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her husbands, Gilbert Smart and John Loveridge; parents, Roland and Elsie Gillette; sister, Margurite Vatcher; brothers: Bertram, Arthur, Philip and Bernard; son-in-law, Eric Dyke; brothers-in-law: Pierce King and Clarence Vatcher. The funeral will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 167 Country Road on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Derek Thomas officiating.
