Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving wife Lori after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, September 20, 2008, Barry Whitten, aged 50 years. Predeceased by parents Pearl (Temple) and Charles Whitten, brother David Whitten and Beverley Whitten (mother of Holly). Leaving to mourn devoted wife Lori, loving daughter Holly and precious grandson Trent. Also leaving to mourn brothers Roland (Olga), Randy (Brenda), Chris (Mabella), Jerry (Sheila), Cyril (Jeanette), Wade (Connie), Curtis (Jackie), Glen (Pam), Ross (Tanya), and sisters Maxine and Dorcas (John), mother in-law Pearl Hearn and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Sunday, September 21 from 12 p.m - 9 p.m and Monday, September 22 from 10 a.m - 12 p.m. Funeral service to be held from St. George's Anglican Church, Petty Harbour on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at St. George's Anglican Cemetery.
