Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Health Sciences Complex on April 28, 2009. Predeceased by grandparents Stanley and Elizabeth McLean, Marion Sawers and uncle Gordie Sawers. Leaving to mourn with fond and treasured memories are parents Della (nee McLean) and Edward Sawers; sisters Melissa and Kayla; special aunt Patsy Sawers; grandfather George Sawers; eleven aunts, 16 uncles, numerous cousins and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Thursday and Friday 12 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Interment to follow on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Edward’s name can be made to the A.L.S.
