There will be a memorial service and celebration of life held on Sunday, May 3, 2009, in memory of Emily Grace Cardwell.
Emily died December 12, 2008, following a tragic car accident in St. Ann’s, Cape Breton. She was 26 years old.
She worked at the Baddeck Tim Hortons for several years, from 2006 to 2008, and many customers remember her sweet and friendly smile. She also worked at The Water’s Edge restaurant and at the time of her passing she was living in Sydney, N.S., worked on her GED.
The service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Uisge Ban Falls Provincial Park, just outside Baddeck, N.S. We will gather in the parking area, at the trailhead for a short ceremony. Rev. Lloyd Murdock will officiate and we will hear readings by Emily’s family and friends. There will also be an opportunity for those gathered to voice their memories of Emily. There will be a tree planted as well as seed packets given. Everyone is welcome.
