THESEN - Evelyn (Grama Eve)
passed away peacefully at Langley Memorial Hospital on Sunday April 26, 2009 after a short battle with cancer, at the age of 78.
Born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Evelyn raised her family in the Lower Mainland of B.C., but always reminisced about her many friends and family in the prairies.
Evelyn devoted endless hours to charity work. She was renowned for her knitting and crocheting for donation; including hats for cancer patients, hats for newborns at LMH, and blankets for the injured and homeless in Afghanistan. She was an active volunteer with the Salvation Army, the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Rebekah Lodge, among many other organizations.
Evelyn will be dearly missed by far too many to name, as she was lovingly known as "Grama Eve" or "Mom" to not only her own family, but everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2009 at 3:00pm at the Langley Legion Branch 21.

To commemorate Evelyn's giving spirit, there will be a hamper accepting food donations for The Salvation Army at the service.
