Passed peacefully away at the Salvation Army, Glenbrook Lodge on Thursday, April 30th, 2009, Major Baxter Norris Davis, age 83 years. Predeceased by son Elvis, sister Ida Vincent, brother Sam Davis, brother-in-law George Vincent and sister-in-law Susanna Duffett. Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life are his loving and devoted wife Maud, daughter Gwen Birt (Dave), sons; Lorne (Companion, Vi Cadman), Greg (Ilona), daughter-in-law Donna; grandchildren Carolyn Davis (Martin Leonard), Heather Tulk (Darren), Danielle Abbott (Tyler), Heather and Jonathan Birt, Elsa, Serena and Kiersten Davis; great-grandchildren Allison and Amber Leonard, and Cameron Tulk; brother-in-law Allan Duffett (Mary), sisters-in-law Doris Caravan (James), Lillian Ivany (Douglas), Glenys Woodland (Frazer), Zelda Blundell (Joseph), Blanche Rodgers (Raymond), Ivy Wiseman (George); also a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM, and on Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 from 10 - 11 AM. Funeral Service to be held on Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 at 2:30 PM from the Salvation Army Temple, Torbay Road. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
