Michael Rozeluk, 84, of Coxheath, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late William and Alexandra (Hoda) Rozeluk.
He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima parish, Sydney River.
Mike was a former vice-president of the C.B. Fish & Game Association, having been a very avid outdoorsman. He was a 100-plus donor to the blood donor clinic. His garden in Northside Boularderie was always thriving with vegetables. A grocer by trade, he started delivering groceries at 14 and worked in the family business, first on Lingan Road and then Kings Road, Sydney River, retiring in 1986, when the business was sold.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Dorothy Ardelli; daughters, Alexis (Danny) Grant, Berwick, N.S., and their children, Charles and Danielle; Jane (Darrel) Gagnon, North Vancouver, and their children, Glen and Anna; a sister, Mary (Zigmond) Mirwald, Etobicoke, Ont.; a niece, Adrienne Cogswell and several grandnieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation for the late Mr. Rozeluk. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Rev. Lourdusamy Mariadoss officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
