HUMPHRIES – Leonard Henry, born November 13, 1916, passed away April 27, 2009, at Cabri, SK. He is survived by wife, Sally Miller (64 years of marriage); son, Wayne of Vernon, BC; daughter, Joan and Grant Anderson of Hazlet, SK; grandchildren, Tanis and Robert Fahselt and son Bret of Cabri, Keri Pierson and son Corbin of Paige, TX, and Neil and Dixie Anderson and daughter Cadence and Cheyenne and Keoly Schultz of Swift Current, SK. He is also survived by sisters, Netta Stan of Ottawam ON, and Betty Dodge of Cabri; and brother, Richard Humphries if Victoria, BC; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as many good friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by parents, William and Lilian Humphries; sister, Vonda? Mayhew of Calgary, AB; and brother, John Humphries of Maple Creek. Leonard (Hump) was raised and farmed at Cabri his entire life. Farming, gardening, fishing, carpentry, hunting, and family were his passions. Cremation preceded a private family service and burial at Cabri on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, officiated by Reverent Maxine Pirie. Parkside Memorial Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements. Thank you to reverend Pirie for her kindness, compassion, and touching words during hospital visitations and the service. The family wishes to give their thanks for your prayers, support, and gifts of food at the time of the passing of our loved one.
