Passed peacefully away at his home in Winterton on Friday, May 1, 2009, Oliver Coates, age 83 years. Leaving to mourn wife Lydia; two sons: Kevin (Glennys), Derek (Debbie); two daughters: Debbie (Stan) Pitcher, all of Winterton, Donna (Ellis) Green, Hant’s Harbour; seven grandchildren: Charlene (Adam) Varley, Christa, Darrell and Carla Green, Ashley, Lindsay and Christian Coates; brother Hayward (Evelyn) Coates; three sisters-in-law: Grace (Charles, deceased) Coates, Mildred (Mike) Walsh, Sarah (Peter, deceased) Kelland; brother-in-law Newman (Hilda) Kelland; cousin Ellie Pitcher. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m., Monday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service to take place at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Winterton on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in St. Luke’s Anglican Cemetery.
