Albert Dominic Boulos

The family of Albert Boulos is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Saturday, July 19, at the QE2 Health Science Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife of 63 years, Maisie; his daughters: Julia (Bill), Chris (Ralph); his son David (Jacqueline); his grand- children: Christina (Jody), Stephanie, Vanessa (Andre), William (Melissa), Candice, Victoria, Ian; his great granddaughter Ava; his sisters-in-law: Beth, Rita and Philomena; also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces and nephews. Albert was born in Windsor, but lived most of his life in Deer Lake, where he was a well known businessman. In WWII, he served with the 59th Heavy Artillery Regiment. Albert was very actively involved in the Royal Canadian Legion, the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, The War Amps of Canada, the Deer Lake Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus, the Deer Lake Chamber of Commerce and served on the committee to create the Deer Lake Medical Clinic. As a charter member of the Deer Lake Town Council, he went on to serve as the Deputy Mayor and Mayor. Albert was know as a man who cared about others, especially children. A funeral mass will be held at St. Benedict’s (OLPH) Parish, on Wednesday, July 23 at 10 am, with interment at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the War Amps of Canada or the Canadian Heart Foundation.
