It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alfred (Fred) Richard Childs announce his passing at his residence in Boswarlos on Monday, May 12, 2008 at the age of 90 years. He will be sadly missed by his six sons: Clyde of Abraham’s Cove, George of Brampton, Ontario, Nathaniel (Edna) of Stephenville, Richard “Jimmy” (Jhanae) of Saskatchewan, Curtis (Edith) of Boswarlos, four daughters: Emma “Dolly” Burton (Arch) of Corner Brook, Gladys Butler (Peter) of Port au Port, Stella Ward of Toronto, Ontario, Joan (Jim) Joyce of Boswarlos, 34 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 8 great great grand- children, three sisters-in-law, Leah Martin of Boswarlos, Molly (Frank) Piercey of Stephenville, Jaunita Childs of Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing, one brother-in-law, Herb Martin of Boswarlos and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Julia Elizabeth, one son, Alfred Leonard, two daughters, Lorraine and Margareta, three grandchildren, Gladys, Tony and Dale, two great great grandchildren, Annabelle and Alex. Friends may call at the Revival Ministries Pentecostal Church in Boswarlos on Tuesday after 2:00 p.m. and Wednesday. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 15th at 2:00 p.m. at the Revival Ministries Pentecostal Church in Boswarlos with interment in the Pentecostal Cemetery in Boswarlos. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
