It is with great sadness that the family of the late Anastasia Dempsey announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the age of 99 years. She will be sadly missed by three sons: Paul (Gloria) Ballett of Port au Port, Gerald (Judy) Dempsey of Kippens, Edward (Eunice) Dempsey of Ship Cove, seven daughters: Mary McCarthy of British Columbia, Susan (Adolph) Schweizer of South Carolina, USA, Joan Gaulton of Port au Port, Rita Priddy of Florida, USA, Alice (Raymond) Nale of Pennsylvania, USA, Irene (Duncan) Marche of Port au Port, Amy (Aaron) McCarthy of Hong Kong and a large circle of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Dempsey and her grandson, Troy Marche. Friends may call at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East on Thursday, December 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, December 26th at 2:00 p.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East with cremation to follow. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Stephenville.
