It is with great sadness that the family of the late Audrey Penney announce her passing on Thursday, September 25th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Lyle Payne of Brampton, ON, Karen Parsons (Truman), Pauline Lovell of McIvers, Lorraine Janes (Cletus) of Irishtown, Weldon Penney (Ann), Calvin Penney (Diane) of Irishtown and Rheada Walsh of Cambridge, ON; daughter-in-law Doris Lambert of Barrie, ON; special grandchildren: Shaun, Tyson, Shelby, Michelle, Donna, Lisa, Greta, Debbie, Kim, Jamie, Robert, Cory, Deanne, Kelly, Marcel, Penny and Linda, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, brothers: Claude Payne (Viola), Kevin Payne (Anita), Gordon Payne (Elsie) and Basil Payne (Pauline) all of Cox’s Cove, sisters: Eva White of Cox’s Cove and Alma Lovell (Shirley) of McIvers. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Roy, son Claude, step-son Burl, parents Miriam and Edward Payne, brother Roland, sister Anita, granddaughter Marie, daughter-in-law Melvina and brother-in-law Taylor. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday from the hours of 2-4 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Summerside beginning 7:00 pm from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 2:00 pm with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Daffodil Place or the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation.
