It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clotilda O’Toole announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Saturday, February 28th, 2009 at the age of 97 years. She will be sadly missed by her three sons: Jimmy (Jacquie) in Port Sexton, NS, Leonard (Mercedes) in Labrador City and Tony of Kippens, her six daughters: Ida Hawco, Mary (William) Bruce, and Theresa Murray, all of Port au Port East, Irene Green of Starke, Florida, Imelda (Aloysuis) Connors of Ottawa and Debbie (Roger) Boone of Sussex, her daughter-in-law Charlette O’Toole in Pasadena. She also leaves to mourn her sister Ellen Barnett of Placentia, along with twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband James, and her two sons, Joseph and Vincent. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 at 11 a.m. from Maria Regina Parish in Port au Port East with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Point au Mal. The family will be receiving friends at Maria Regina Parish on Monday and Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Church or Memorial fund. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street in Stephenville.
