It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cornelius White announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the age of 79 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Veronica, four sons: Paul (Esther) White of Stephenville, Marcel White of Brampton, Ontario, Wayne White of St. John’s, Michael White of LaRonge, Saskatchewan, two daughters: Donna (Michael) Sheppard of Stephenville, Shirley (John) Anthony of Stephenville, two sisters: twin sister, Patricia (Russell) Luby of Orlando, Florida, Rita St. Croix of St. Mary’s, eight grandchildren: Matthew, Jennifer, Heather, Rueben, Monique, Christopher, Jessica, Meaghann, one great-granddaughter, Abigail White and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Martha White, six brothers, one sister and grandson, Evan Cornelius White. Visitation took place at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, December 31st at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
