It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dena Giles, announce her passing on Saturday, October 11, 2008 in Grandview Manor, Berwick, NS, at the age of 41 years. Born in Corner Brook, N.L., she was a daughter of Rowena (Allen) Francis, Corner Brook, N.L. and the late Derek Francis. She is survived by her mother Rowena (Allen) Francis, Corner Brook, N.L.; her devoted husband Jeff, Nictaux, NS; sister, Donna Francis (Paul), Corner Brook, N.L.; half-sister, Debra-Jean Francis (Colin), Alberton, P.E.I.; nieces and nephews, Haley, Hunter and Brandon, Corner Brook, N.L.; and Derick and Autumn, Alberton, P.E.I. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her paternal grandparents John and Lucretia Francis, and maternal grandparents Emily and Llewellyn Allen. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at All Saints Anglican Church, on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. Derek Thomas officiating with interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
