It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edna Pitcher announce her passing on Tuesday, June 24th at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her six daughters: Ruby Vokey (Phillip), Random Island, Barbara Cornick (friend Reuben), Pasadena, Carrie Brownie, Ontario, Bertha Vokey, Clarenville, Doreen Pitcher (friend Albert), Clarenville and Phillis Warren (Gary), Pasadena; three sons: Arch (Dete), Marystown, Raymond (Delores), Deer Lake and Ronnie, Alberta; three brothers: Gordon Wagg, Pasadena, Howard (Lavenia), Corner Brook and Robert (Ann Marie), New Brunswick; sister-in-law Jeanette, New Brunswick, as well as a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Eric and brother Ronald. Friends may visit St. David of Wales Anglican Church, Pasadena on Thursday and Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 2:00 PM with Canon David Pearce officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook.
