Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Sunday, June 29th, 2008 at the age of 69 years, at the Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, Eric Manuel Ropson; leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; his wife Elsie, nee Ricks, his children; Mildred (Mike Sheppard) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Marlene (Corey Handrigan) and Lori-Ann (Jerry Wallace), both of Toronto, and Derrick (Katherine) of Hampden. His 6 grandchildren; Dwayne (Christa), Bobbie, Markus, Tarah, Cyle, and Jessie, his 3 great grandchildren; Brandi, Logan and Summer, his brothers; Harold (Duclie), Arthur John (Jack), (Shirley), Harvey (Jean), and Allan (Susane), all of Hampden, his sisters; Eileen (Melvin Rice) and Elsie (William Osmond), both of Hampden, also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends., Dad was predeceased by his parents; George and Olive Ropson, and his daughter Phllis Leverine. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Church of the Epiphany Anglican Church in Hampden, this evening , and continuing on Tuesday, July 1st, 2008, from where also the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008 at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Hannah Dicks officating with the Burial to follow at the church cemetery in Hampden.
