Eugene Pearce
It is with deep sadness that we announce the all to soon but peaceful passing of a father, husband, brother, son and grandfather, after a lengthy battle with lung disease. Eugene passed away surrounded by love of three of his children at Stanton Territorial Hospital in the early hours of June 17th. Eugene took his final breaths bravely with freedom and peace, knowing that he would soon be in the loving arms of his wife and our mother, Phyllis Pearce (nee Hiscock), who predeceased him on November 24th, 2007. Eugene lived most of his life in Deer Lake with our mom, Phyllis Pearce (Hiscock), until he moved to Yellowknife in November of 2005. Eugene leaves behind his four children: Peter, Sheila (Shannon), Eugene (Lauri) and Sharon. He will be forever missed and loved by his six grandchildren: Robyn, Kirsten, Brian, Dylan, Cameron and Logan. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Woodrow, but leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters: Lillian (Bryant), Alec (Tina), Daphne (Whitfield), Beverly (Gordon), Minnie (Rex) and Tony (Kim) and countless nieces, nephews and friends. A service will be held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories on Friday, June 20th at 10:00 a.m., after which Eugene will be sent to Edmonton for cremation.
