It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eva Marie Burke announces her passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 20, 2009 at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sister: Mildred Chaytor (Cyril); sisters-in-law: Mary Wheeler, and Ella Wheeler; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Burke (1980), parents: William and Elizabeth Wheeler, brothers: Wilfred, Clifton, Clayton, Leo, Austin, Harold, Bernard, sisters: Edna Companion, and Gerdna Donahue. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 10–10:30 am at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road. The memorial service will immediately follow at 10:30 am from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Mildred Chabassol officiating. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
