It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Lucas announce her passing at her daughter’s home on Sunday, August 17th, 2008 at the age of 93 years. She will be sadly missed by her 7 daughters: Mercedes and Oliviera (Walter), Madonna (Calvin), all in Stephenville Crossing, Catherine and Rosalie (Sidney), both in Stephenville, Shirley (Bill) in Nova Scotia, Marie (Jim) in Alberta, 9 sons: Martin (Viola), Adolph (Pearl), Albert (Helen), Hayward (Linda), David (Cavelle), all in Stephenville Crossing, Isaac (Laura) in British Columbia, Percy (Doris), Sebastian (Marilyn), both in Stephenville, and Samuel (Cindy) in Nova Scotia. Also leaving to mourn, her sister Elizabeth Rose (Herb), grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, son Vincent, and grandson Keith. Visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing on Tuesday 7 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 21st, 2008, at 10 a.m. from Asumption Parish with interment at Brook Street Cemetery, Stephenville Crossing. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Assocation.
