It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence (nee Hoskins) Parsons announce her passing at Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook on Thursday, May 8th, 2008 at the age of 70 years. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Elwood; brothers: Cluney Hoskins and Pierce Hoskins; sister, Elizabeth Hawkins; niece, Lynn Dyke, both of Greenspond, Bonavista Bay; nephew, Kevin Hoskins of St. John’s, along with a large circle of friends. At Florence’s request, cremation will take place at Humber Valley Crematorium in Pasadena. A cemetery service will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 11:00 a.m. from Mt. Patricia Cemetery, Reverend John Hounsell-Drover officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
