Promoted to Glory on Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, Brig. Eva May Duffett, aged 92 years. Predeceased by her parents James and Annie Maud Duffett; two sisters: Eliza and Blanche (Janes); two brothers: Chesley and Maxwell. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories special friend Major Hilda Harvey; nieces: Glenys Woodland (Frazer), Blanche Rodgers (Ray), Lillian Ivany (Douglas), Doris Caravan (Jim), Major Maud Davis (Baxter) and Zelda Blundell (Joe); nephews: Allan Duffett (Mary), Fred Janes (Letha) and Leslie Janes (Elizabeth); also Major Melva Duffett; thirty-one great nieces and nephews; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23 and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 24. Funeral Service on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Ave. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. Flowers gratefully accepted.
