It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Reid (nee Pickett) announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, on Saturday, March 7th, 2009 in her 87th year, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; Steadman (Wavey), of Reidville, Marion (George) Elms of Sop's Arm, Donald (Cora), Larry (Mary), Hilda (Gerald) Rumboldt, David (Minnie), Lorna (Francis ) Bibbs Curtis, Karen (Clarence) Moss, and Sandra (Shawn) McKay, all of Reidville, her 35 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren, her sister; Mrs. Susie Goulding of Gambo, and her brother; John (Myrtle) Moo Pickett of Hare Bay, mother was predeceased by her husband; Alexander (Sandy) Reid, her daughters; Effie (Rex) Elms, and Hazel (Calvin) Normore, her grandchildren; James Reid and Baby girl Elms. Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her extended family. The family are receiving family and friends from the hours of 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm today Monday, March 9th, 2009 from Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 10th, 2009 at 2 pm from St. Micheal's and All Angels Anglican church in Deer Lake, with Canon John Meade officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the Anglican church cemetery at Wights Road, Deer Lake. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
