Passed away at the John M. Gray Center on December 2, 2008, Garfield Caines of Forrester’s Point, aged 85 years. Leaving to mourn, five daughters: Dorcas Mitchelmore, Elizabeth (George) Baines, Mary Ann (Edmund) Gibbons, Levinia Fillatre and Myrtle (Wade) Guinchard; two sons: Louis (Jane) Caines and Walter (Mariah) Caines; grandchildren: Betty, Dulcie, Watson, Jarvis, Harold, Samuel, Trudy, Jade, Bradley, Renita, David, Ashley, Jilda, Paula and Jeremy; great-grandchildren: Dominique, Keegan, Kiara, Jade, Ariana, Lauren, Kindra and Kenisha; and special friend, Cecelia Galliott. Predeceased by wife, Jenny Keziah; sons-in-law, Churchill Mitchelmore and Kerry Fillatre; sister, Elizabeth Bailey and brothers: Isaac, Walter, Jacob and Henry John. Visitation was held at the Anglican Church in Forrester’s Point from where the funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on December 5, 2008 with Rev. Kris Gosse and Rev. Canon Jean Brenton Hickman. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton.
