It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Spencer announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on March 18, 2009 in his 84th year. He leaves to mourn: his wife Edith of 40 years, together 55 years; his son, George Spencer Jr.; his daughter, Zoe Spencer and husband Sean Feeney; grandchildren: Colby Spencer and Jordan Spencer Feeney; sister, Katie Walters of Halifax; his extended family: Rowena and Edward Gaulton and their daughters Krista and Karla Wight and Michael Spencer. He was predeceased by his parents: George and Catherine Spencer; his sister, Nina and husband Norman Cutler; Charlotte and husband Clem Strickland; brothers: Steve and Harvey. Memorial service will take place on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Russell officiating. At his request, cremation has taken place and interment at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road.
