It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geovanna Marcelle Young (nee LaFontaine) announce her passing at the Calder Health Care Centre, Burgeo on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the age of 77 years. She will be sadly missed by three sons: Roland Young of Marystown, Gerard Young of Brampton, Ontario, Greg Young of Stephenville Crossing, one daughter, Yvonne Walsh (Franco Canu) of Edmonton, Alberta and her beautiful grandchildren as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Young and sister, Edna Ferland. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Sunday, January 18th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Russell’s Funeral Home Chapel, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville with Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating with interment to follow at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the Bay St. George Sick Children’s Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
